Its being reported that the Obama Campaign website has AVS (Address Verification Service) disabled. This means it will accept any real credit card from anywhere in the world regardless of the name and address given. This means anyone can use different names and submit as much money as they want to his campaign and there is no real way to track it. The only way would be to compare the last 4 digits of the card that can be stored but with millions of cards this is a near impossibility. I deal with many credit and EFT gateways daily in my work and believe me no legitimate business or organization would ever do this unless you really intimately know your customer base and want them to be able to use multiple addresses and nicknames for convenience or you are setting yourself up for losing your merchant account for excessive fraud reporting. This has been tested many times over at Hot Air blog and even with foreign credit cards account. If this is true, this is fraud on a massive scale.
