Republicans caused this?

If you listen to the mainstream press and the Democrats on the hill you would get the impression that the unstable financial market we are experiencing today is due to Republican led deregulation. Below is a video montage of CSPAN archives from the Fannie & Freddie hearings from 2005. If you are accustomed to taking the news at face value, you may be surprised by what letter is next to the names of the congressmen pushing for regulation and oversight of Fannie & Freddie long before the recent collapse.
If that doesn’t make it clear enough who is to blame then maybe this will make it a little clearer.
It didnt start last friday!

If you listen to the democrats you would get the idea that the problems with the banking and mortgage industry is a recent development caused by Bush and those rascally republicans but all the coverage of bailouts and big work to do on Washington, there hasn’t been a word about indictments or hearings. Why, well its pretty obvious this is one of millions of problems created by democrat social engineering and pandering. You would have to assume that if any republican was in any way involved they would be on the news and marched out in handcuffs. The democrats in washington and the media helping them think they can get away with this because its complicated, which i found out first hand last night when I tried to explain it to my wife. She wanted to follow what I was saying but the details are so complicated and boring that it is very difficult for most people to make the connections. My brother(if you havent noticed I don’t use names on my blog, due to the wierdos that like to leave comments that i delete) found this video on youTube, its pretty well done, not to long, gets the point accross and gives a basic overview of why anytime a liberal says they are doing something good for the people, it means they are going to screw you. It might take a decade or 3/4 century like social security but you are going to take it every time they do something “good for you”.
